Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order, especially for custom or unlacquered items.

1) Return window

  • Return or exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Requests submitted after 7 days may be approved at our discretion and, if approved, may be subject to a restocking fee (see “Restocking fees” below).

2) Condition requirements

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging.
  • All included parts, screws, accessories, and documentation must be returned.
  • Items showing signs of installation, handling wear, modification, or missing parts may be rejected or may receive a reduced refund.

3) Custom, specialty & non-returnable items

The following items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, except where defective or damaged on arrival:

  • Customized products (including engraved and made-to-order items). This includes all 4-gang plates, 5-gang plates, custom layouts, specialty finishes, and custom configurations.
  • Unlacquered brass and unlacquered aged brass items, because each piece begins developing a natural patina and cannot be resold as new.
  • Knobs, handles, and pulls, due to handling and installation risk that makes factory condition impossible to verify once opened.
  • Sample Kits are non-returnable. However, they may be reused or installed if you choose to keep them.
  • Final sale / clearance items (if marked as such at the time of purchase).

4) Restocking fees (when applicable)

  • If a return is approved after the 7-day window, a restocking fee of up to 40% may apply.
  • For approved returns of certain customized items (where a return is legally required or otherwise permitted), a restocking fee of up to 50% may apply.
  • Any applicable fees will be disclosed to you before you ship the return.

5) How to start a return or exchange

  1. Email us at ed@getswitches.com.
  2. Include your order number and the item(s) you want to return or exchange.
  3. Explain the reason and include photos if there is damage, a defect, or a packing issue.
  4. Wait for written approval and instructions before shipping anything back.

6) Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

  • If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item and packaging.
  • If we confirm an issue covered under this policy, we will provide a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate.

7) Return shipping costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
  • Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

8) Refund timing and method

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the return.
  • Inspection usually takes 3–7 business days after delivery to our return address.
  • Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.

9) Exchanges

Exchanges are handled as a return (if eligible) plus shipment of the replacement item. Price differences, taxes, and shipping may apply.

10) International returns

  • International customers should contact support for instructions before attempting a return.
  • Duties, taxes, and import fees are non-refundable and remain the customer’s responsibility, unless required by law.

Shipping Policy

We aim to ship quickly and provide reliable tracking. Shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout and may vary by destination.

1) Processing time

  • In-stock items typically ship within 1–3 business days.
  • Custom or made-to-order items may require additional processing time. If applicable, we will confirm timing by email.

2) Shipping origins

We may ship from different fulfillment locations (including the United States, Europe, and Asia), depending on inventory availability and destination.

3) Delivery estimates

  • Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
  • Delays can occur due to carrier issues, weather, peak seasons, or customs processing.

4) Tracking

Once your order ships, we will email a tracking number to the address provided at checkout.

5) Customs, duties, and taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or fees. These charges are the customer’s responsibility.

6) Address accuracy

  • Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate.
  • If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we may require payment of reshipping fees before resending.

4) Custom-made products
